The service is available at 7 examination centres across the Emirates, and those wishing to enter the Emirate of Abu Dhabi can book an appointment for a laser examination in any of these centres through the application of the “SEHA” company.

Noura Khamis Al-Ghaithi, Executive Director of Operations at Health’s External Therapeutic Services, said that the existing DPI laser scanning technology has been included in a number of vehicle scanning centres across the UAE, in line with the announcement of the Crisis and Emergency Committee and the Abu Dhabi Health Department. The service will be provided in the first phase in the vehicle survey centres in Zayed City and the Corniche in Abu Dhabi, Hili in Al Ain, and at the National Survey Centers in Port Rashid and Al Khawaneej in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

SEHA DPI provision of laser scanning technology service

She added that the provision of DPI laser scanning technology service came in the interest of the “SEHA” company to facilitate the entry of those coming into the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as they can easily book an appointment through the application of the “SEHA” company and then conduct an examination while they are inside their vehicles in one of Abu Dhabi or Al Ain centres before their departure from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Or, in one of the mentioned Northern Emirates centres upon their return.

She explained that additional centres will be offered to screen using DPI laser scanning technology, which depends on laser beams, soon.

An appointment for the DPI laser scanning technology examination is booked through the application of a health company, and the cost of the examination of 50 dirhams is paid, so that a blood sample is taken when visiting the centre to examine the sample and show the result within minutes, and if the result shows that there is a need for a nasal swab, then the swab is performed. Then the auditor must isolate himself until the results of the swab appear, but in the event that the result shows no need for that, the auditor will receive a short text message enabling him to enter the Emirate of Abu Dhabi within 48 hours from the date of the appearance of the result.

It is worth noting that the survey centres in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain operate from Saturday to Thursday from 8 in the morning until 8 in the morning, and survey centres in the Northern Emirates operate over 7 days from 10 am to 8 pm.
