UAE medical aid sent to Lebanon to confront Corona

The UAE medical aid sent urgent to the brotherly Lebanese people, to support efforts to combat Corona, the aid included 12 tons of examination devices and medical supplies to support medical staff and workers in the field of medical services, by providing personal and preventive protection tools, Diagnostic devices (COVID-19), as well as support for preventive and precautionary measures, as this aid will enable more than 10 thousand medical teams and frontline workers in the health sectors to carry out their tasks and enhance their efforts in containing the spread of the virus.

This assistance comes within the framework of the directives of the Emirati President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people and reducing health conditions, as well as within the chain of response operations. UAE medical aid to Al-Makassed Hospital in Beirut

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Beirut issued a statement saying: “Under the directives of the wise Emirati leadership, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection provided urgent medical supplies to the Al-Maqasid Islamic Charitable Hospital, through the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Beirut, to contribute to limiting the repercussions of the explosion that rocked Beirut. This humanitarian aid aims to assist the Makassed Hospital, which plays a role in providing treatment and relief to the wounded and affected and extending a hand of cooperation and assistance to the working medical staff and hospitals in Lebanon, as part of the campaign aimed at providing relief to the brotherly people.

In this context, the President of the Islamic Makassed Association, Dr. Faisal Snow, thanked the Emirati leadership “that always seeks to help Lebanon and its people in all circumstances and tribulations,” stressing that ” UAE medical aid today contributes to relieving the hospital’s burden as a result of the recent events that afflicted Lebanon and the high number of victims and wounded in Beirut exploded, and most hospitals reached their maximum capacity, and many others were damaged, which contributed to the increase in the number of patients at Al-Makassed Hospital.
