Salem Rashid Al Owais, United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Colombia – said in a statement reported by the Emirati News Agency “WAM“.
The United Arab Emirates has historical relations with Colombia, characterized by a nature of friendship, harmony and cooperation in various fields, in light of the keenness of the two countries leadership to develop and strengthen it.
He added, “In the context of the United Arab Emirates continuing its efforts in order to contribute in enhancing the capabilities of the healthcare sector in Colombia.
It is the third medical aid plane was dispatched to it from the United Arab Emirates, as the state previously sent two planes carrying 21 tons of medical aid, in addition to 200,000 corona testing devices.
During the past three months, about 21,000 medical personnel benefited from it.
He stressed that the United Arab Emirates stands by the countries in light of the conditions the world is witnessing in the face of this emerging coronavirus pandemic.

It is noteworthy that the United Arab Emirates has provided more than 1,144 tons of aid to more than 90 countries to this day, benefiting more than one million medical workers.

The UAE continues to provide free medical care to the residents of the Yemeni West Coast, through the mobile clinics of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, within the framework of the various relief and humanitarian projects it is implementing with the aim of re-normalizing the life caused by the Houthi militia war.
The three medical clinics, consisting of 12 male and female doctors, received 200 patients from different age groups, including children, men, women, and the elderly, from the people of Al-Sawadiya village, which is affiliated to the Al-Wazi’ah district of Taiz governorate.
The families and Dr. Ali Al-Mori, Director of the Medical Department in the region, expressed their thanks to the Emirates and its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent Authority, for reaching them, especially as their village is from the remote and neglected villages of health services.

It is worth noting that the mobile clinics of the UAE Red Crescent have treated 97,000 cases since the inauguration of its work in the coast in August of 2018, and the medical teams of the three clinics are still operating at a high rate throughout the week targeting areas deprived of medical services, and have reached 114 remote villages in the West Coast .
